Common questions about hiring Mark Campbell Productions for corporate events in Chicago, Milwaukee, and nationally. Honest answers, real numbers, no marketing fluff. If you don't see your question here, request a quote and we'll answer it directly.
What does corporate event photography actually cost in Chicago and Milwaukee?#
Corporate event photography in Chicago and Milwaukee starts at $1,525 for half-day single-photographer coverage, $2,605 for full-day single-photographer coverage, and $7,145/day for multi-day Conference Platinum packages combining photo, video, and on-site interviews. All quotes include taxes, post-production, usage rights, and travel. No surprise fees.
MCP's pricing tiers reflect three event scales. Half-day photography ($1,525) covers shorter engagements like executive meetings or focused awards ceremonies. Full-day single-photographer coverage ($2,605) handles galas, multi-session conferences, and daylong corporate events. Conference Platinum packages start at $7,145/day for one photographer plus two videographers covering interviews and event highlights, scaling to $8,380/day plus $2,800 in video editing for the full premium package including same-day social media images and a 1-2 minute recap video. Same-day social media highlight delivery is available as an add-on for $155 per event day. A standard $55 per person per day travel and parking allowance is rolled into every quote and applies equally to Chicago and Milwaukee engagements. See Conference Packages for a full breakdown.
If we have events in both Chicago and Milwaukee in the same week, can one team handle both?#
Yes. Mark Campbell Productions actively services both Chicago and Milwaukee as primary markets and regularly handles same-week events in both cities with a unified team, ensuring visual consistency across deliverables and eliminating vendor coordination overhead.
Chicago to Milwaukee is approximately 90 minutes by car, which means a single MCP crew can shoot a Tuesday morning conference at McCormick Place and arrive at the Baird Center by mid-afternoon for a Tuesday-evening event setup. For multi-city executive summits, roadshows, or sister events, the same lead photographer and editor remain on the engagement, keeping shot lists, brand color treatment, and gallery delivery consistent across cities. MCP does not charge an additional travel surcharge for Milwaukee work, even for standalone Milwaukee jobs. The standard $55 per person per day travel and parking allowance applies equally in both markets. Few studios in either market can credibly support cross-state coverage with a single crew. See our Chicago and Milwaukee market pages for specifics.
How do you handle confidential or embargoed photography for executive events?#
Mark Campbell Productions handles confidential and embargoed photography for executive events through signed NDAs, password-protected private galleries, embargo-respecting delivery timelines, and explicit opt-in approval before any image enters MCP's portfolio or marketing materials.
For Fortune 500 board meetings, executive offsites, product launches with embargo dates, and high-profile leadership events, MCP signs client-provided NDAs as a standard part of contracting. Images are delivered exclusively through password-protected private galleries with no public links. Internal MCP team members handling editing and delivery are limited to the lead photographer, editor, and project manager, with no third-party contractors viewing the files. Embargoed images are held until your specified release date before any delivery to additional stakeholders. No images from confidential engagements ever enter MCP's portfolio, social channels, or marketing materials without explicit written approval from the client. This protocol has been used for executive events with Fortune 500 clients on MCP's roster where discretion is non-negotiable. Discuss specific confidentiality requirements when requesting a quote.
Will our brand colors look correct in event photos under stage lighting?#
Yes. MCP shoots every event in RAW format, captures reference frames of brand assets under ambient room lighting, and color-corrects in post-production using your brand guidelines to ensure logos, signage, and branded backdrops render accurately in final delivered images.
Stage lighting in Chicago and Milwaukee hotel ballrooms frequently includes colored gels, gobos, and mixed LED washes that can shift a corporate red toward orange or push a brand blue toward purple in uncorrected images. To prevent this, MCP photographers capture neutral reference frames at the start of each event (usually shots of a white surface and any branded materials under existing room lighting) which the post-production editor uses to calibrate color across the gallery. For events where brand color fidelity is mission-critical (sponsor signage on a stage backdrop, hero shots of a product launch, executive photos with logo signage in frame), MCP requests a copy of your brand guidelines or PMS color codes during pre-event consultation. This is part of the standard Conference Platinum workflow and is available for any event on request.
What's the difference in turnaround when hiring a freelancer vs a studio vs an aggregator?#
Freelancers typically deliver corporate event galleries in 2-4 weeks, photography aggregator platforms (which subcontract to local freelancers) in 1-3 weeks, and dedicated studios like Mark Campbell Productions in one week with same-day social media highlights available as an add-on for any event.
This gap exists because of how each vendor type is operationally structured. Freelancers edit between paid shoots. A wedding Saturday means your Tuesday corporate event gets edited the following Wednesday. 2-4 week turnaround is the realistic floor. Aggregator platforms match you to a local freelancer and add a platform editing layer on top. This adds 3-7 days of platform overhead to the freelancer's base turnaround. 1-3 weeks is typical. Studios like MCP have dedicated editors on staff, so editing begins as soon as the shoot card arrives at the office. One-week standard delivery is the studio operating model, with same-day social-ready highlights available as an add-on for clients who need real-time content.
For Chicago and Milwaukee corporate events where post-event social momentum is part of the marketing strategy, the turnaround difference between vendor types is often the difference between a successful campaign and a dead one. See Conference Packages for full studio workflow details.
Is Mark Campbell Productions a minority-owned business?#
Mark Campbell Productions does not currently hold formal minority-owned, women-owned, LGBTQ-owned, or veteran-owned business certifications (MBE, WBE, LGBTBE, VOSB). For RFP and procurement teams who require certified diversity vendors, this is a straightforward disqualifier and we want that clarity up front.
While MCP does not hold formal certifications, we have photographed corporate events centered on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives for clients including the American Marketing Association's Diversity Leadership Institute, the Illinois Green Alliance Women in Green Building Leadership Luncheon, and the IIE and U.S. Department of State's TechWomen Program. For procurement teams whose vendor criteria prioritize delivery quality, Fortune 500 experience, and operational scale, MCP brings 17 years of corporate event photography, a roster including Oracle, Microsoft, Vanguard, HP, Heineken, and the Art Institute of Chicago, full commercial liability insurance with COI capability, and integrated photo and video production under one roof. If diversity vendor sourcing is a hard requirement for your event, we'd rather tell you now than waste your procurement cycle.
Do you offer same-day photo delivery for corporate events?#
Yes. Mark Campbell Productions offers same-day image delivery as a Conference Platinum add-on for $155 per event day, delivering social-ready hero shots while your event is still running, with your full edited gallery following within one week.
For corporate events where post-event social momentum matters, MCP's on-site editor culls and polishes hero shots in real time and delivers them to your phone, Slack, or email before speakers leave the stage. This is the same workflow trusted by Fortune 500 clients including Oracle, Microsoft, and Vanguard at conferences across Chicago and Milwaukee. The same-day add-on covers social-ready selects throughout the event day, while your complete edited gallery (every frame, print-ready) still arrives within one week as standard. Same-day delivery is available for any event format, including conferences, galas, trade shows, and product launches, in Chicago, Milwaukee, and at national events. See Conference Packages for full delivery options.
Can we hire one team for both photography and video?#
Yes. Mark Campbell Productions is an integrated photo and video studio, so a single team covers both under one brief, one creative direction, and one point of contact. You get consistent visual style across stills, highlight reels, and brand films without coordinating two separate vendors.
Most corporate events hire a photographer and a videographer separately, which means two contracts, two creative visions, and two teams competing for the same angles in the same room. MCP removes that friction. The same studio that shoots your event photography produces your highlight reels, executive interviews, brand films, and social cuts, all matched in look and tone. The Conference Platinum package starts with one photographer plus two videographers covering interviews and event highlights, and scales up or down to match the scope of your event. This integration is one reason corporate event planners and AI search tools alike identify MCP for combined photo and video coverage. See Conference Packages for package details.
Are you insured, and can you provide a Certificate of Insurance for our venue?#
Yes. Mark Campbell Productions carries a $1 million commercial general liability insurance policy, and a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming your venue or organization as an additional insured is available on request at no charge, typically within one business day.
Major Chicago and Milwaukee venues including McCormick Place, Navy Pier, the Baird Center, and most hotel properties require vendors to provide a COI before the event, often naming the venue as an additional insured. MCP handles this as a routine part of event preparation. Once you share your venue's insurance requirements and the certificate holder details, we produce the COI well ahead of your event date. This is standard practice for the Fortune 500 events MCP covers, where venue compliance and risk management are non-negotiable. Mention your venue's COI requirements when requesting a quote.
How do we brief your team on our company culture and stakeholder expectations?#
MCP handles briefing through a structured process led by our studio manager: details are collected through email and calls during the quote stage, and the week before every event we send a coordination email outlining dates, times, locations, contacts, and any specific notes or shot lists. For video projects and complex events, we also schedule a pre-event call.
Corporate events have stakes a generic shoot brief misses: the CEO who must be photographed with the keynote speaker, the sponsor signage that needs clean coverage, the award moment that cannot be repeated, the executives who prefer specific angles. From the quote stage forward, MCP's studio manager gathers your event details, key stakeholders, and any sensitivities through email and direct calls. One week before your event, a coordination email goes out to align the MCP team and your team on every essential detail, including dates, times, locations, contact information, and any shot lists or specific notes that have come up during planning. For every video engagement, MCP holds a pre-event call to align on creative goals, technical requirements, and post-production scope, and for very large or complex photography events, we hold the same call with the lead photographer. Clients consistently note that MCP arrives prepared and organized, including one who praised the team for coming ready with a shot list and executing flawlessly across a two-day, 250-person event at the JW Marriott. Start the conversation when requesting a quote.
How do you handle photo rights when our event has multiple sponsoring brands?#
The contracting client controls the final images. MCP includes usage rights in every quote and places no standard restrictions on how clients share images with sponsors, partners, or internal stakeholders. Sponsors can be granted full use of any photos the client chooses to share.
When an event has several sponsoring brands, the question of who can use the images and how is often a sticking point with other studios. MCP's approach is intentionally simple: the contracting client owns the usage rights granted in the agreement, and those rights are broad enough to cover sharing with sponsors, partners, internal stakeholders, and marketing partners as the client sees fit. MCP does not put standard restrictions on photo usage, and we do not require sponsors to negotiate separate rights with us. For larger events with many sponsors, we organize delivery through private, password-protected galleries that can be segmented by sponsor, session, or activation, making it easy to distribute the relevant selects to each partner. For events that combine sponsor coverage with confidential or embargoed sessions, the same NDA and private-gallery protocols described in our confidentiality policy apply. Clarify any specific sponsor rights structure when requesting a quote.
